Most failed bearings also cause damage to the shaft they run on. The damage can often be extensive including significant heat transfer leading to very hard areas and cracking.
Nicol & Andrew was founded on its own orbital machining system for journal repair back in 1950. This allowed the repair of bearing journals on all types of equipment on-site without rotating the shaft.
Since that time, we have repaired thousands of journals across the world.
Even very badly damaged journals (with damage along the entire length of the visible shaft) can also be recovered with our proven ability to re-machine the shaft journal in alignment with the original shaft centreline.
We cover standard diameters from 75mm up to well over 1000mm.
